Police In The U.S. Could Soon Have "Pain Ray" Guns
Friday, December 26, 2008 Posted by Shattered Paradigm
Imagine a world where police have the ability to fire pain ray guns at protesters that instantly cause them excruciating pain as soon as they are activated.Imagine a world where police have the ability to torture from a distance anyone they want at the touch of a button.
Does that sound like something out of a science fiction novel?
It's not.
It is in the final stages of development and could soon be a reality on the streets of America.
NewScientist is reporting that the U.S. Department of Justice is developing two portable "non-lethal" weapons that inflict severe pain from a distance using either microwave technology or laser beams.
According to that report, the intention of the U.S. Department of Justice is to put these pain ray weapons into the hands of police on the streets of America.
Some observers are very upset about this development, as they claim that giving police the ability to instantly torture anyone they want from a distance is a very dangerous thing to do.
Others are applauding the development of these new "non-lethal" weapons as a step away from the use of "lethal" weapons by police.
All of this comes a couple of months after a report that the U.S. Army will be deploying mobile pain ray trucks (called the Active Denial System) that have the capability to instantly fry the flesh of whole crowds of protesters using microwave technology.
Imagine that.
A whole crowd of rioters actually being cooked like they are in a microwave oven.
Frightening stuff.
Instead of finding more ways to torture and kill one another, perhaps we all should be looking for more ways to love each other.
Just a thought.

Why would we put these torture devices in the hands of the police (read cowboy sadists)?Individual knuckleheads who want to feel better about themselves and their Jr. college education by asserting their "authority" over the populace. Not every cop requires a weapon. most should be unarmed as they are in England. leave the weaponry in the hands of trained and educated specialists who won't blow your head off at the sight of a cell phone that they thought was a gun.

ORWELL 1984! I don't like what is happening in this country. I came here in 1984, wow what a coincidence. I left a communist country where things happening there were much less severely controlled than they are here. I guess it's time to go back because its still better there. It scares the hell out of me to think of what this country became in Republican hands. I don't know if it's reversible because the education here is a lot worse than it was when i was growing up in my country. Good luck to you all, i hope the leaders know where they are heading because that will affect them and their families. Such a short-sided outlook.

oh great...another weapon to fall into the hands of terrorists, drug dealers, bank robbers and kidnappers...to say nothing of husbands in bitter divorces...and since civil rights are becoming a thing of the past...one more reason why even peaceful protest will go the way of the horse and buggy..only in America!

SLICKMOUSE: OMG You are right!! The irony of such. I have family in law enforcement and I will tell you now, if ANY of them start using these to abuse their power, I will just have to return the favour. I hate This sort of thing. America isn't safe anymore. And I have to wonder why all those immigrants want to be here in the first place.

Wow.
Imagine a few of these getting into the hands of a bank robbery team. You could drop the entire staff of the bank, and be charged with.....what?
Someone standing on the side of a freeway shooting random drivers with these things would cause havoc. Maybe you could nail a pilot in a small plane at an airport.
Imagine the fun you could have with that annoying dog your neighbor has!
School drive-by anyone?
And just what would you be charged with? It's not a firearm. Assault? Maybe....but they'd actually have to prove it.
Wow. Opens a whole new area for blood sucking lawyers to make a pile of cash.
