The Fearful Grip Of A Futuristic Police State Is Now Upon Us

At times the world changes so rapidly that you don't even know what is happening. The truth is that a brutal "futuristic" police state is growing up all around us, but most of us are too numb to even recognize the signs.

For example, did you know that the Canadian military can now enter the United States in "times of emergency"?

This extraordinary fact appears in a joint document of the U.S. Northern Command and the Canada Command. The document is called the “Canada-US Civil Assistance Plan” and it is dated February 14, 2008.

It gives Canadian forces the right to enter the United States and to perform military operations if there is any kind of "emergency", and these days it seems as if there is not a time when America is not under some type of "threat" or "emergency".

Police are getting some fancy new police state hardware as well. Have you heard about the new "homeland security machines" that have auto license plate scanners and that can sniff out bombs?

These new police cars are equipped with sensors to detect weapons of mass destruction and have automatic license-plate scanners. "It's really a homeland security machine, not a cop car," claims William Li, the CEO of Carbon Motors in Atlanta.

But you say that you still feel free?

Will you still feel free when you have to get the permission of the United States government to travel to another state?

According to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s “Secure Flight” initiative, Americans will soon be required to get the permission of the United States government to fly from state to state.

Now, the TSA hasn’t announced the effective date of this rule, but it has revealed what information it will be requiring from Americans who wish to fly to another state. At some point in the future, Americans will need to reveal their name, gender, and date of birth when they make a domestic airline reservation. The airline will then contact the TSA to determine if that passenger is allowed to fly.

This is the first time the U.S. government has restricted the right of citizens to travel inside the United States since the Civil War. For now, permission to travel will apply only to air transport, but the TSA could extend these rules to rail, bus, or auto travel at any time.

The truth is that citizens of the western world are being tagged, traced, tracked, monitored, controlled and regulated like never before. Governments are becoming bigger and more controlling and the freedom of the common man is being curtailed as never before. The era of the "open society" is ending.
